Truth Studios Ceiling Remodel

RECAP:

Walking on the tightrope at all times has been the story of my life the past 6 months. Every spinning plate has been fitting perfectly in place for me as more improvements are made at Truth. Chris Owens and his team were hired to replace the ceiling of office below the live room in hopes to add isolation going both ways. It’s a shot in the dark as I’m not sure it will yield the results I’m looking for but I see no other option. We’re also adding new acoustic treatments to the project we started in February.

Demolition started today, they’re filling the gaps with acoustic specific insulation and putting up two layers of drywall with green glue in-between. Excited for the final results! I’m out of town for my girlfriend’s birthday so it’s all an experiment – won’t know what to expect until I get home!

TRUTH STUDIOS PROFILE:

Truth Studios is a boutique recording studio located in the Fairfax district of Hollywood, California. The studio started in the bedroom of studio owner Nick Breton’s apartment making music with local Los Angeles buzzing artists. We have since grown into a beautiful loft where the studio currently operates. This studio has become a landmark icon in Los Angeles and the music community worldwide.
