RECAP:

Quick night session with Thomas Davinci and Roman Flowers. Thomas wanted to come in and re-cut vocals to the track Roman produced. He wanted to have a different character in his performance of the lead so we wiped the recording from last session and started over. In much the same fashion as last time we started with one take through the song so I could get levels set. After setting levels we started rolling on the new vocals. He cut the lead from top to bottom in two takes because he’s been performing the record a lot and he’s very used to it at this point. We listened back to his takes and found a few lines to punch in to tighten up the main lead.

After we tracked all the new vocals we went through this song and the first song we made together and tightened up both tracks. The bulk of the work was making sure the background vocals fit with the new lead. We did some manual time adjustments and powered through both songs. For three hours late at night I’d say we were very productive, great session today !!
