RECAP:

Tonight was great! Thomas arrived a few minutes late but forwarded me the track so I could get a session set up for his arrival. We talked for a few about playing piano then jumped right into recording. We ran two takes through the entire song so I could set a level and get him feeling as in the zone as he could get.

Once we locked in the sound he started recording the song in 8-12 bar sections. We laid down a full lead vocal to the entire song then game planned adding doubles and harmony layers to fill out the track. For a shorter session we both felt really good about the result of what we just created. All of our sessions have been solid and continue to get better with time. Tonight was a special vibe and we both felt it. Makes a huge difference when you lock on to an energy and ride the wave to capture the moment.
