RECAP:

Exciting news !! Our Sterling Modular Plan A Desk has been set up and is now in action! I started disconnecting all the gear as Dominic and Bailey made their way to the studio to help take apart the old desk, clean the studio and put the new desk together. It was a very, very long day making sure we got this all done in time for my session to run smoothly tomorrow.. We started by disconnecting all the cables, organizing them on the floor to make re-assembly easy then we started to take apart the Zaor desk. Dominic and I set up the sterling while Bailey helped clean the cables and studio.. It was very solid team effort from all parties today. Once we finished assembling the desk we started racking all the gear and connecting the snakes. When we finished connecting the gear and organizing the cables we connected all the power cables. Dominic taught me how everything should be so it’s neat, easily accessible and the power and audio cables run perpendicular, not parallel to each other. We got everything connected and powered up. I missed one connection to the Burl (had channel 1 and 7 confused) but once we got it all sorted everything worked as it did just a few hours before the major overhaul. Dominic helped get the speakers roughly centered so the studio was usable and we called it after that because it was about 1:15 am. Incredibly thankful for Dominic and Bailey – we had a job to do and we got it done today !
