It was a great morning to be a fly on the wall at the studio! Surprise session with Solange Knowles and Troy “R8DIO” Johnson thanks to Kelly Clancy! Solange and Kelly (Solange’s manager) were first to arrive, catching up on Solange’s recent trip for her first year wedding anniversary. Troy arrived shortly after and the two exchanged a few stories to catch up since they seem to have known each other for a long time. They were comping vocals for some new songs that she’s working on so I sat in and hung out. The music sounds amazing! Personally, I’m more a fan of Solange than I am Beyoncè so it was a real treat for me to sit in and hear what she’s working on.
