Recording Studio Construction Day 4

RECAP:

We’re 85% done with stage one of our full ground-up remodel and I couldn’t be more excited. The acoustic treatment is in, the lights are set up and working. The second layer of the wall was installed today and mud was applied to seal it after the picture was sent over. Very happy that I took this risk and it played out in my favor. As the owner of the studio, I’ve made 15 or 20 bets like this. When you aren’t in the best financial place and you can leap or stay, I’ve always leaped. Never regretted any of those leaps, it may put a little extra pressure on your shoulders but you become better for it.

As this stage comes to an end, I could not be more excited to return from Mexico and get cracking on all the work that’s piling up. Cam is ready to roll as we both get back on the same night and start a two-week stretch the next day. It’s album time… A number of my clients are starting albums, a few others are finishing them. Tons of work to get through – this recharge was crucial !!

TRUTH STUDIOS PROFILE:

Truth Studios is a boutique recording studio located in the Fairfax district of Hollywood, California. The studio started in the bedroom of studio owner Nick Breton’s apartment making music with local Los Angeles buzzing artists. We have since grown into a beautiful loft where the studio currently operates. Truth offers studio rental, recording, mixing and mastering services to independent and major label clients from every corner of the globe.
