Phoelix Recording Session For Comedy Central

Artist: Phoelix
Producer: Phoelix
Engineer: Nick Breton

After much praise from Cam O’bi, I finally got to record with Phoelix! He’s one of the most talented multi-roll players I’ve ever met. He needed to hop in the studio to track a demo and submit it to Comedy Central by 5pm and I had a small 2hr window open. He rolled in with the two track and I got the session set up quick. We were off to the races and he was spot on with everything he did. We ran 6 or 7 takes of the lead then he started building layers of harmonies and adlibs. Amazing how quick he works, we had 18 tracks of vocals and each one sounded incredible. I love his voice and I’m a huge fan work so this was a nice treat.

Singer, Producer, Beat Maker, Multi-Instrumentalist from Chicago. Solo artist who also collaborated with Smino, Noname, Cam O’bi, and many others.
