Day two with Noname Gypsy, Monte Booker, Cam O’bi, and The Mind.

We all hung out listening to music, Cam and Monte were playing music from various stages of their careers and exchanging sounds. Cam played us a track from 2010 and said it was the first time he smoked Girl Scout Cookie weed.. He had a dream that someone told him how the universe was created… And the music sounded like it would have been the soundtrack to the universe being formed.. He’s so fucking talented.

After we spent some time vibing out Monte and Cam started a new beat.. within a few minutes they had something incredible happening. The track they made tonight was flawless.. Cam absolutely KILLED it with these vocal “Do” sample sounds. Noname and The Mind immediately got to writing and we spent the last leg of the night recording a new track. Even though neither of them recorded what will be final vocals this is going to be one of my favorite songs this year!

Couldn’t have been a better note to end on since all these guys are heading back to Chicago.. Ear to ear smile on my walk home doing the phone test for the song we just made.
