RECAP:

Day two in the studio mixing on the new rig. Very happy with the results from yesterday. Restricted by using less plug ins but also added a number of new ones I never had before. Loving the new effects, the power of the new computer and the new additions in Pro Tools 12.

I started mixing a new single for Suliman out of Chicago. Always thought Suli was very talented even though I’ve only heard a few verses. He hit me up to mix this single and after receiving the files to evaluate them I immediately went to work. Gotta capitalize on the inspiration when you feel it, even though it wasn’t yet confirmed I’d be hired for the job. Thankfully it worked out, as I was mixing the email confirmation came in for me to start working. I spent a few hours on it tonight, mostly on the instrumental. I did some arranging and sequencing with what was there, hopefully he likes it! Super cool track, hypnotizing in a way. Not sure who the female rapper is but she sounded great on there as well!
