Day two with Little Simz! Wish we had a month blocked out to make an album, she’s so fucking awesome! We worked on a new song today and the beat is ridiculous! I’m a huge fan of Astronote beats, I mentioned before that Shawn Jackson used to get beats from him when we were working in 2009. Crazy to hear how much his beats have progressed since then. She had the first verse written so we knocked that out quick. She spent time writing the second verse and laid it down within a few take. The way she works is a perfect example of how to make music in a studio. Excited for our next sessions!

Truth Studios is a boutique recording studio located in the Fairfax district of Hollywood, California. The studio started in the bedroom of studio owner Nick Breton’s apartment making music with local Los Angeles buzzing artists. We have since grown into a beautiful loft where the studio currently operates.
