Part two of day one for 2016 was also special in its own way. I met a new artist by the name Leaf who has a very beautiful voice. I’d never heard her music prior to the session but we’ve scheduled a few days to work in the coming week thanks to Natalia. We started off over at Erewhon to pick up food and hung out to get to know one another briefly. Once we finished eating we dove in and started working on music.. Leaf had 7 beats they’d picked for her to write to and one by one she began knocking out ideas. I liked some more than others but I can’t give many details about what we worked on. We recorded 5 solid ideas, 2 or three that stood out. Che Pope came by to meet with Leaf and Natalia before the session ended.. This was another very productive session since it was only for a half day. I couldn’t be happier with the total work done today between this session and working with Domo.

2016 has officially begun at Truth Studios and this year is showing great promise to be the best year we’ve ever had, I’m calling it now.
