RECAP:

I was planning to spend the day editing videos for the studio since I’ve been so behind on releasing a weekly video. Joey called me in the afternoon asking if the studio was free and since I had the time scheduled to be in there editing I decided to put it off until tomorrow.

Joey and Chuck arrived around 1pm, as usual I started off the gathering by playing a bunch of new records that I’ve been working on at the studio. We went back in time and played the last 5 or 6 songs Joey has made at the studio that haven’t been released yet.. Serious heat. He has about 5 songs that we’ve done that are really special.

Joey played me a few songs from his album… Which sound SO good !!

Chuck plugged up and started playing beats… He’s been making some KILLER shit. I was blown away by how good his beats were sounding. Perfect modern 90’s vibe. After he played about a dozen beats he mentioned he’s been working on a rap album. Totally caught me by surprise, after all this time I’ve known him I didn’t know he’d been working on a rap album. He played us two songs that were fucking incredible, so blown away by them – Haven’t been that excited to hear a new rapper in a very long time. Can’t wait to hear the rest of his album !!
