RECAP:

Once in a blue moon I get asked to record clean audio for an interview or do some ADR/Voice Over work. Today was an awesome surprise. This production company from the UK booked the studio to record a phone interview with Vincent DiPierro. I had no idea who he was prior to the interview and also had no idea what the interview was going to be about.

Vincent was Robert Kennedy’s right hand man, literally. The day he was shot Vincent was standing next to him and actually had a bullet hole in his jacket. Hearing him discuss this event in perfect detail gave me chills. What a horrific tragedy to be a part of. What an unbelievably experience to have in your life let alone with someone so famous and so important to our countries political history.

After the interview was over Vincent stayed in the studio with his wife and I and we talked for about an hour. I was very moved by his story and I came to find out he’d been an advisor to roughly 6 of the past presidents (both Bush presidents and Clinton excluded). He seemed to be extremely bright and had a fantastic personality. His wife was very sweet and the two of them shared a bond that was vivid even when they were doing nothing.

What an amazing unexpected turn of events, another one of ten thousand reasons why I love what I do so much.
