RECAP:

Hopped back in the studio with Cam O’bi today to work on the ideas we made with C.S. Armstrong last week. Since those songs were recorded on SM7’s in the room with a lot of noise to get the ideas out we wanted to re-record certain parts to clean them up. The main replacement pieces were the upright piano and Cam’s vocals. We’ve been working together for so long that we have the system all the way dialed. Hardly took any time to replace everything we needed to on Cam’s behalf.

The simple method is going one track at a time, Cam listens and learns the part then we record and replace. At most on each song we had 5 pieces to re-cut. Same goes for the piano, once he learns the part it’s one or two quick full takes and a wrap!

Still waiting for Armstrong to write the lyrics so we can get his vocals in before going further. This batch of songs has a crazy energy to it, we’re all so excited to get it done properly!
