RECAP:

Session number 5 on the Cam O’bi album ! We had a very productive session today ! Started off with my friend Christian coming in to play Flamanco guitar on one of the songs we’ve been working on. We tried a number of takes and ideas to spice things up. Rather than having him play chords we recorded each note of the chord one string at a time. After getting Christians parts in we moved on to a song Cam is producing for Chances album. I cleaned up the session and put a quick mix to it since it’s still a rough sketch of a track that’s being written to. Once we got that finished Cam found some new chords that he was inspired by and started working on a new track. We recorded several loops and layers on the upright, sequenced them then Cam added vocal Ooo’s over them in low and high harmonies for him to take into Fruity Loops and work with.

After finishing those three tracks we went back to the idea Cam had started last session and put in some new verse melody ideas that he will write lyrics to.. Overall we accomplished a lot today ! Andy came back to hang in the daylight this time and took more pictures for him to draw inspiration from. Great day!
