RECAP:

Day two with Cam O’bi working on this song for his album.. This was the first session with our new set up ! Still have a lot to work out in terms of how things will be in the studio so it was a little tricky to work but we got it done ! We talked about the new set up for about 45 minutes, I had a lot of questions for him in terms of what he thought would improve the studio and the direction Dominic and I are planning to take it in. No doubt this set up feels more sleek and professional it’s just a different set up for producers like Cam who were use to the previous orientation of everything. Once we get this set up dialed I know it’s going to be incredible !

Anyway –

Cam and I were talking about the track from Monday, he decided he wanted to start something new today but we really got into it when I pulled up the track from Monday so we kept working on that. We had discussed a lot of ideas, he feels like he’s really entering album mode with searching for inspiration, building characters and ideas.. I made a big list of notes from our discussion and I think we’re both starting to share a vision for what he’s doing. The themes musically, characters and personalities featured on the songs… It’s going to be a lot to take on but if it comes out the way we’ve been talking about the last few days I think it’s going to be a classic. Cam has been on fire all year, really he’s just been on fire since he started making music… He’s been in the zone and I’m so excited to be working on the album with him !
