RECAP:
Holy shit! What a day! I’ve been trying to introduce Cam O’bi and C.S. Armstrong for quite some time now… It finally happened! Cam and Armstrong arrived at 2p. We knew Armstrong had a label meeting and quick dinner meeting planned so Cam and I worked through him coming and going. Cam put together six or seven drum ideas then sent them my way for us to build on them.
Every instrument got some love today, Cam bounced from the Juno 106, Voyager, OB-6, Hammond and Upright piano along with Wurli and guitar. Nothing makes me happier to see someone hit all the stops in making music.
Once Armstrong got settled in for the night we went to work! We cut 5 full songs tonight, 4 of them also had the music made from scratch. Hard to believe we got so much done! The tracks feel SO SO SO GOOD! We’re planning future sessions to come back and clean things up.
