Quick session with Polyester and Diamond Ortiz today. They worked on this song the other night but somehow they missed the fact that the bass sounded like it was recorded through a blown out amp. I was going in to mix the record with Poly and noticed that right away so we scheduled a quick session to re-cut the bass. Diamond Ortiz brought his bass this time, our pot gets scratchy sometimes so I assume that’s where the initial problem came from.

I set up the chain listed below and we dialed in a fucking sweet bass sound. Once you get that part the rest is just a fun jam session. We took it piece by piece, laid a few takes for the verses, the hook, and a few solos. He slayed all of it and it’s night and day from the previous recording.
