RECAP:

Met a new artist tonight named Dev09 who’s working on a new music at a very early stage of her career. She just moved to LA 3 weeks ago and already has 3 or 4 demos that sound awesome. We made a full song tonight in about two hours. I was really surprised by her knowledge of how to move in the studio. She got right to work once I set the track up in Pro Tools. We ran through it to set the levels then she started recording her lead vocal for the whole song. Once we had the lead vocal laid down I started playing back 4-8 bar sections and she figured out harmonies and other layers. We had a full song done within two hours, she left early and I spent some time cleaning up the track after she took off.
