RECAP:

Tonight was great. A room full of GOOD people working on music. The last time I saw Tayla Parx was for a writing session with Blaq Tuxedo and we ended up making a song that went on to become a single for Chris Brown called “Anyway”. I didn’t even know that until I saw Tayla.. And they kept the vocals we recorded in the demo for the actual song so that was a nice surprise. I knew that song was special when she wrote it, the demo was incredible and I heard Chris wanted to use it but I didn’t know they actually made it a single with a video and everything.. Tayla was sick and seemed a bit warn out but as soon as the music came on she popped up and went at it.. I have to say she’s one of the most impressive writers I’ve ever watched make music. She gets it. She understands how to listen to a song and find pockets and melodies that complement the music in a fluid and natural way. We had two songs in particular that Natalia and Che wanted her to work on so we spent a few hours chatting and recording to both of them. She loaded the songs up with all kinds of ideas and lyrics that were very clever.

Songwriter for EVERYONE… 22 years old, 3 grammy nominations (not sure how many wins). Incredible songwriter most famously known for working with Beyonce, Chris Brown and many others.
