RECAP:

Last minute session came in yesterday to work with Martin Garrix and Nicholas P from Walk The Moon. Both incredibly talented and very different stylistically but it was inspiring watching them work together. They connected almost immediately as Martin played through a few tracks and Nicholas started recording phone notes to get the ideas down. A majority of the session was spent working like that until they’d written a few full verse/hook ideas. Once we had the ideas together Martin gave me the files and we set up some sessions to start tracking. Nicholas is really easy to work with, great writer and singer who has nice microphone technique so recording was simple. We recorded 6 or 7 takes for good measure and did a quick comp to see how it would take shape. Awesome session today, great surprise with two incredibly talented guys.
