Surprise call from Simz who’s back in LA! Very happy to hear the news and get back in the studio with her. We’ve been on a tear lately, everything she’s recorded has been amazing. The traditional rap records she’s making are fucking killer… She’s experimenting with more free form music that I absolutely love. She’s one of the most talented people I know, she’s ambitious as fuck and hustles as hard as anyone I know. Her career has bloomed so much over the last few years and I’m always thankful and happy when we get to work together.

Recording details:

I set up the C800-G for Simz because that mic is bascially built for her. Female rap vocals on that mic are heaven sent as far as engineering goes.

LITTLE SIMZ PROFILE:

Rapper, singer, guitar player from the UK. Multiple Mixtape releases, debut album released 2016 with much success. Currently on tour with the Gorillaz.

The studio started in the bedroom of studio owner Nick Breton’s apartment making music with local Los Angeles buzzing artists. We have since grown into a beautiful loft where the studio currently operates.
