RECAP:

Quick late night recording session with Raury! I don’t want to say who the feature is for because it hasn’t been publicly announced but it’s one of my favorite new-er artists! Raury wanted to knock this out since he seemed to be really into the vibe of the music tonight so we set up a quick session.

I set up a Pro Tools session and the 414 since his vocals sounded really great on that microphone last time. He listened to the track three or four times before going into the booth and laying down the first chunk. We recorded about 5 takes for the first half then moved on to do the same for the second half. It came together very quickly and naturally. Once we had the lead locked in he added a few quick double and harmony layers on some specific phrases. After getting all of the recording bits down I started to throw some effect ideas up but I was so tired from being on the phone with Dominic until 5am this morning I had to tap out.

Solid verse, glad we got to get in for a quick session and knock this out !
