RECAP:

Cue the music, “The Boys Are Back In Town”… Even though it was just one person, we’re glad Raury is back in LA. Fresh off a flight from Salt Lake City, Raury came from LAX right to the studio. As usual, we got right to work and started transferring files for his latest project. I imported them into a session (as seen in the cover picture for this post) and began to sort them into Raury’s initial track-list.

Upon listening back we decided where the order should change and came up with a plan to integrate some skits throughout the project. It was my first time hearing all of the songs together (songs may come and go – nothing is final until the day of the release..) and I feel it will be a well received EP. He’s coming from a genuine and sincere place about where he’s at in his life and it’s relatable for people our age. My only wish was for some faster paced records but we can’t always get what we want. There are a few tracks with really pretty acoustic guitar and overall the EP has a very creative sound.

TRUTH STUDIOS PROFILE:

Truth Studios is a boutique recording studio located in the Fairfax district of Hollywood, Los Angeles California. We are across the street from the famous CBS Television City studios and down the street from The Grove. Truth Studios started in the bedroom of owner Nick Breton’s apartment making music with local Los Angeles buzzing artists. We have since grown into a small commercial facility where the studio currently stands. Offering studio rental, recording, mixing and mastering to independent and major label clients from every corner of the globe. Our culture has developed to include several of the industries top characters.
