RECAP:

Spent the day working on mixing a new song for Domo Genesis and Cam O’bi. Started working with Cam at 12, working on a few different versions of the track. We started a mix with the stems to the beat and kept feeling like something was missing from the original bounce I did after we recorded the track. Not sure if it’s demo-itis but we’re all in love with the sound of the original mix. We went through creating an alternative version but it came out much more clean and polished (as far as the instrumental goes). We made another version with the original session and I cleaned up problems I noticed after listening back. After spending a good amount of time on it today we got it to a point where we’re happy with it and going to reference it on other monitor systems. Domo Genesis came by mid afternoon to listen, hang out and play us some tracks from his new album. I’m a huge fan of Domo Genesis. I was ignoring ODD FUTURE because the message they sent wasn’t something I thought was good for human culture. Domo Genesis on the other hand, was rapping so genuine with a positive message about struggles we all deal with as positive conscious humans. I’m a big fan, I can’t wait for his new album and I hope we all get to make more music together.
